Author details: John Tipler is a motoring writer and historian, whose involvement with motorsport includes contributing to 'Autosport Motoring News', 'Motor and Competition Car' magazines. He has worked in the Brands Hatch Press Office and spent two years as John Player Motorsport Officer. He has also worked for the Motor Industry Research Unit, and as deputy editor of 'Restoring Classic Cars' and contributor to 'Performance Car'. More recently he was a sub-editor and contributor to 'Carweek' and 'Classic Car Weekly' magazines. He is currently Features Editor of 'Land Rover Owner' magazine. John has written several books, including 'TVR - The Complete Story' and 'Lotus and Caterham Seven - Racers for the Road' in the Crowood Autoclassics series.
