Author details: In 1975 Jonathan A. Stein bought his first sports car, a 1959 MGA coupe, which he towed home in pieces. Eight months later it was red and roadworthy, the first of many MG restoration. After graduating from Drew University, Stein edited a small magazine and wrote advertising and promotional copy before joining the editorial staff of 'Automobile Quarterly. His involvement with historic automobiles has grown to include judging, organizing and competing in shows, serving on a museum board and establishing the MGA Coupe Register. A member of the Society of Automotive Historians and the International Motor Press Association, Stein has written articles for 'Automobile Quarterly', 'Car Collectors and Car Classic', 'Vette' and several other magazines. Stein is the Publishing Director of 'Automobile Quarterly'.
