| Author details: | John Parnell is so keen on Minis that he has never owned any other type of car, although he only acquired his first Cooper, a rare 970S, in 1988. His interest in writing about these cars led him to become the Mini Cooper Register's magazine editor. John's fascination with the precise details of Mini Cooper history started in 1987 when he attempted to track down the cars which appeared in the film ' The Italian Job'. With this aim, he made his first visit to the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust's extensive archives, and since then he has returned frequently to undertake further fresh research. | ||||||
