There are many pistons for the A-Series, but care must be taken to choose the correct one for the application.

The 1275 engine is covered the best, but our old favorite, Omega, is no longer available (Though we do have a few odds on the shelf should you need one or two). Fortunately, AE has stepped forward and is producing an excellent quality "Mega" piston. While they are on the heavy side, this is in part to having a thick crown to allow for machining of valve-cutouts or decking to accommodate longer strokes.

For racing we can supply JE Pistons for the 1275 A-series in +.040 and 1380 big bore. We can also special order pistons to any configuration available from a choice of 4 custom piston manufacturers that we work with.

For performance road use the P21253 pistons, which were made as a replacement for the original Mini Cooper S piston, which was part number 19320. These pistons should not be used, however, in a high compression race engine.

P21251 pistons are fine for a stock rebuild, but are not recommended for a hotted up engine that may see over 7000 RPM from time to time.

We can supply Deves, Hastings & AE piston rings for any application. We find that they have excellent coverage for the many A-Series pistons.

Wrist pins available in low & high carbon steel, nickel carbon alloy and tool steel H13 Pins can also be supplied with a DLC coating to allow them to run directly in a steel rod without bushings. JE1275-40F	1275 JE Race Piston, +40 Flat Top - Forged this includes light weight pins, performance rings, spring or spiro loc retainers. Also included in our specifications (remember these are basically custom pistons ) is double forced pin oiling, and an accumulator grove between the first and second ring, this buffer zone helps stop air that gets trapped between the rings holding the rings off the cylinder wall and breaking the seal. Other options are available, and APT personnel have the knowledge and experience to make sure you end up with the correct piston for your application.	ST	$815.00
